Drum Circle

I happened upon a drum circle on the quad at my University. It was for the Alliance for Peace club on campus. It started small and grew to about 30 people. I shot about 200 photos. Here are a few sample photographs of the event:

Nature & Scenic Portfolio

This is my final portfolio for my Nature & Scenic Photography class. It’s a compilation of 20ish images including: wildlife, flowers, city scapes, insects, birds, golden light, line design. We had shooting field trips at places like: Missouri Town 1835, Kansas City Zoo, Lexington, Powel Gardens, etc. Here is my portfolio rough draft:

The Orton Effect – How to

1. Open image.

2. Image>Duplicate. Close original image.

3. Image>Apply Image>Screen (make sure opacity is at 100%).

4. Image>Duplicate

5. (2nd image) Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur. (Use radius setting of 15-50pixels)

6. Select move tool>Hold shift button>Drag and drop 2nd image onto first>Let go of shift button.

7. Layer>Layer Options>Blending Options>Multiply

8. Layer>Flatten Image
